These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of SK VPN ("the Service"), a private, non-commercial utility operated by an individual account owner for personal and family use. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SK VPN is a private application that provides three functions: an encrypted tunnel for remote access to the owner's own devices; scheduled backup and restore of the owner's own files to the owner's own Google Drive account; and personal automation jobs that move files between the owner's devices.
The Service is not a public VPN provider, is not sold or licensed to the public, and does not carry traffic for third parties.
The Service may be used only by the account owner and by family members whom the owner has explicitly invited. Each user must use their own Google Account and their own devices. You may use the Service only with accounts and storage that you own or are authorized to access.
You agree not to use the Service to store or transmit content that is unlawful, that infringes the rights of others, that contains malware, or that you are not entitled to possess.
The Service integrates with Google APIs, including the Google Drive API. Your use of those APIs and of any connected Google Account is also governed by Google's own terms and policies, including the Google APIs Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
The Service requests only the permissions described on the home page and uses them only to operate the backup and restore features. The Service does not provide generative AI functionality, does not produce or distribute synthetic or non-consensual intimate imagery, and does not use Google user data to train or improve machine-learning models.
Handling of personal information, including Google user data, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Features may change as the owner's needs change or as third-party providers change their APIs. Scheduled jobs may fail because of network outages, provider rate limits, or device downtime.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. No advice or information obtained through the Service creates a warranty not stated here.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of access, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to the use of or inability to use the Service, even if the operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The owner may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time. A user may stop using the Service at any time and revoke the application's Google access from the Google Account permissions page. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including warranty disclaimers and limitation of liability, will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current revision. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
